Went to Palos this morning. Great day for warblers, but the photos were ordinary at best. On my way home as I drove through Lemont this hawk dropped onto his prey. He was distracted enough to let me approach for this full frame shot. Not sure about the shrew's playful and content look...Juvenile Red-tailed Hawk and Northern Short-tailed Shrew.I am going on a year now with a new job assignment and I can not find enough time for photography or flickr. Hopefully I can turn this around a bit...Large on blackMy stocklist
